50 Mall Drive West
50 Mall Drive West is the former home of Sears Jersey City located in the northern section of Newport Centre Mall. This large project is the the first phase of fitting out the former Sears into future tenants for the Mall.
Permitting and Consulting
The client had never worked in Jersey City before and so they needed a trusted source to help coordinate and guide them through the city’s new Tyler system as well as the procedural steps along the way to approval. Besides the permitting, I consulted them on their drawings for submission, other needed approvals and deliverables and a plan of action so work could begin swiftly.
Planning
As a part of the plans for the future tenants, careful consideration into planning the approvals and making sure deadlines and timeframes met were crucial to my client. Flexibility in adapting to their needs was necessary to keep work going on site. Interior demolition, white box interior fitouts, to the future fit-outs of the upcoming tenants were all parts of this current construction site.
